We will be having a joint potluck with the newly formed Slow Food chapter at ASU on this Saturday evening, March 24th. Please join us at 6:00pm at the Boone Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (381 E King St, Boone).
The theme is from the slow food campaign to “take back the value meal”: the $5 Challenge. The goal is to create a meal that costs no more than $5, because slow food shouldn’t have to cost more than fast food! You can visit the Slow Food USA website for more information on the challenge and for meal ideas too at: http://www.slowfoodusa.org/index.php/programs/details/campaigns/ (at the very bottom is the $5 Challenge).
This is going to be a great opportunity for community members and students to come together and get to know one another better, all for the sake of good, clean, fair food in the High Country! Please plan on attending this potluck and to bring a someone new to Slow Food as well.
